The Hofstra Pride and the George Mason Patriots meet in college basketball action from the EagleBank Arena on Wednesday night.

The Hofstra Pride will look to build on their 72-70 win over Quinnipiac in their last game. Aaron Estrada leads the Pride in scoring and assists with 20.5 PPG and 4.2 APG with 5.4 RPG as well while Tyler Thomas has 12 PPG and Darlinstone Dubar has 11.3 PPG with 5.9 RPG to lead the cap off Hofstra’s double-digit scorers up to this point in the season. Nelson Boachie-Yiadom also has a team-high 6 RPG as well on the year. As a team, Hofstra is averaging 71.9 PPG on 46% shooting from the field, 37.8% from three and 77.5% from the foul line this season.

The George Mason Patriots will hope to add to their 72-65 win over Queens University last time out. Josh Oduro leads George Mason in scoring, rebounding and assists with 12.4 PPG, 6 RPG and 2.7 APG while Victor Bailey Jr. has 11.9 PPG with 4.1 RPG and DeVon Cooper has 11.1 PPG with 4.4 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for George Mason up to this point in the season. As a team, George Mason is averaging 67.4 PPG on 45.6% shooting from the field, 37.1% from three and 58.5% from the foul line this season.

Hofstra is 5-14 ATS in their last 19 games against a team with a losing record and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games following a win while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall. George Mason is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record.

I get the case to be made either way here, but I’m leaning towards Hofstra and the points here. The Pride have been more successful against what I feel is the slightly better schedule to this point and I think this is going to be another highly competitive game. I think we’re getting points with the better team or at the very least, a game that should be a coin flip so give me the Pride and the points in this one.
