George Washington vs Davidson 2/5/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Davidson Wildcats and the George Washington Colonials meet in college basketball action from the Charles E. Smith Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Davidson Wildcats will look to build on back-to-back wins after an 81-76 win over St. Bonaventure last time out. Hyunjung Lee leads the Wildcats in scoring with 16 PPG along with 6.4 RPG while Mike Jones has 12.7 PPG and Luka Brajkovic has 14.7 PPG with a team-high 7.1 RPG as well this season. Foster Loyer also has 15.7 PPG and a team-high 3.5 APG to make up the rest of the group of double-digit scorers for Davidson so far this season while Sam Mennenga has 7.2 PPG and 5.5 RPG. As a team, Davidson is averaging 77 PPG on 49.2% shooting from the field, 40.9% from three and 77.5% from the foul line while allowing 67.2 PPG on 42.7% shooting from the field and 34.2% from three this season.

The George Washington Colonials will be hoping to build on back-to-back wins after an 89-87 win over La Salle last time out. James Bishop leads GW in scoring with 17.3 PPG while Joe Bamisile has 14.9 PPG with 5.5 RPG to make up the pair of double-digit scorers for GW so far this season. Brendan Adams has 8.7 PPG while Ricky Lindo Jr. has 8 PPG with a team-high 7.7 RPG and Brayon Freeman has 8.9 PPG and 3.2 APG as well to lead the Colonials so far this season. As a team, George Washington is averaging 65.9 PPG on 42% shooting from the field, 31.5% from three and 68% from the foul line while allowing 71.6 PPG on 43.8% shooting from the field and 30.8% from three this season.

Davidson is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite and 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games while the under is 18-7 in their last 25 Saturday games. George Washington is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 home games while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 games as an underdog.

This is a tougher game to call than the title would suggest as Davidson is the better team by a fair margin but the Wildcats haven’t been blowing teams out necessarily on the road. With that said, while George Washington is on a nice run ATS, beating La Salle and Fordham is a lot different than taking on Davidson and I think the Wildcats just end up being too much for GW here so give me the Wildcats in a lean.
