The Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs meet Saturday in college basketball action from Stegeman Coliseum.

Florida enters this matchup at 7-4 overall. The Gators are 2-1 in their last three games and coming off a win over Tennessee. As for Georgia, they’re sitting at 9-4 this season. The Bulldogs have won consecutive games versus Ole Miss and Kentucky. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Florida began their year at 3-0 before a loss to Florida State, then took consecutive wins over Vanderbilt and LSU. Since then it’s been a 2-3 stretch for the Gators. They’ve fallen to Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi State while otherwise beating Ole Miss and Tennessee in that time.

In Tuesday’s 75-49 win over the Volunteers, Florida’s Noah Locke led the team on 14 points with three rebounds and one assist. Tyree Appleby added 13 points with seven assists and four rebounds, and Tre Mann provided 12 points with three assists and four boards.

Over on the Bulldogs’ side, their year started off on a nice 7-0 clip culminating in a win over Northeastern on December 22. Georgia dropped their next four games versus Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas and Auburn but has since taken out Mississippi and Kentucky.

In Wednesday’s 63-62 win over the Wildcats, Georgia’s Andrew Garcia put up 16 points with six rebounds in 27 minutes of action. Both Sahvir Wheeler and KD Johnson added 10 points apiece, combining for seven rebounds and seven assists for the Bulldogs as well.

The Bulldogs are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games after a straight-up win and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 Saturday games. The over is 5-1 in Georgia’s last six overall and 7-2 in their last nine Saturday games.

Meanwhile, Florida is 2-6 ATS in their last eight after an ATS win and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 Saturday games. The over is 5-0 in the Gators’ last five road games and 4-1 in their last five Saturday games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Florida here. The Gators are coming off an utterly dominant game versus a good Tennessee team, holding the Volunteers to just 29.3 percent shooting from the field and out-rebounding them 44-36 for the game. Florida shot a scorching 49.2 percent and tallied 15 team assists as well. Assuming there’s no big-win hangover here, the Gators should have more than enough gas to bang out a cover.
