The Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Central Michigan Chippewas meet in college basketball action on Monday night.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs come into this one looking to add to their 92-50 rout of Bellarmine in their last game. Drew Timme leads Gonzaga in scoring with 20.8 PPG along with 5.3 RPG while Julian Strawther has 14.8 PPG with 5.5 RPG and Chet Holmgren has 11.3 PPG with a team-high 7.3 RPG and 4 APG. Rasir Bolton has 10.3 PPG to make up the scoring in double figures for the Zags in their first four games while Andrew Nembhard has a team-high 5.5 assists. As a team, Gonzaga is averaging 89.8 PPG on 55.1% shooting from the field, 37.8% from three and 78.4% from the foul line while allowing 61 PPG on 39.7% shooting from the field and 28% from three this season.

The Central Michigan Chippewas will look to build on a 62-61 win over Eastern Illinois in their last matchup. Jermaine Jackson Jr. has 14.3 PPG and a team-high 4.3 APG as the lone double-digit scorer for the Chippewas so far this season while Kevin Miller has 9.7 PPG and Miroslav Stafl has 9.5 PPG. Harrison Henderson’s got 7.3 PPG with 6.3 RPG and Brian Taylor has a team-high 7.3 RPG as well on the year. As a team, Central Michigan is averaging 65.3 PPG on 40.4% shooting from the field, 33.3% from three and 55.3% from the foul line while allowing 79.3 PPG on 47.2% from the field and 34.8% from three this season.

Gonzaga is 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 Monday games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 neutral site games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400. Central Michigan is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a win and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall.

The Zags were always going to be favored here and I do think the Chips are worth a look. However, I think my strongest play here is the over. I think Gonzaga’s going to have no issues scoring into the 90s, it’s just a matter of how long the ‘Zags keep their foot on the gas. Either way, I’m on the over in this one as I’m envisioning the Chippewas scoring into the high-60s or low 70s.
