Gonzaga vs Montana 12/20/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Montana Grizzlies and the Gonzaga Bulldogs meet in college basketball action from the McCarthey Athletic Center on Tuesday night.

The Montana Grizzlies will look to build on a three-game win streak after an 81-76 win over Prairie View A&M last time out. Josh Bannan leads the Grizzlies in scoring and rebounding with 15.4 PPG and 9.1 RPG while also leading the Grizzlies in assists with 3.2 APG as well this season. Aanen Moody has 15.1 PPG while Dischon Thomas has 12.1 PPG with 5.4 RPG as well on the year. Brandon Whitney has 12.6 PPG to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Montana so far this season. As a team, Montana is averaging 67.8 PPG on 45.3% shooting from the field, 33.9% from three and 79% from the foul line this season.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs will be on the lookout for another win after a 100-90 win over Alabama last time out. Drew Timme leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 21.3 PPG and 8.1 RPG while Julian Strawther has 13 PPG and 7.8 RPG. Rasir Bolton has 10.8 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Gonzaga so far this season and Nolan Hickman has a team-high 4 APG as well this year. As a team, Gonzaga is averaging 82.3 PPG on 49.9% shooting from the field, 36.9% from three and 71.6% from the foul line this season.

Montana is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a win while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games following an ATS loss. Gonzaga is 2-12-3 ATS in their last 17 games following a win and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS win while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games following an ATS win.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I’m on the over. I think this is a name your number spot for Gonzaga who clearly flipped a switch against Alabama, but I think Montana could do enough to potentially sneak in the backdoor, or they could get their doors blown off. Either way, I envision it being high-scoring so give me the over here.
