Cornell Big Red

Cornell was 11-3 through 14 games this season, losing to only Boston College, Syracuse and Miami FL. It’s been a 3-1 run for the Big Red since then. They’ve taken out Penn, Yale and Columbia in that quartet.

In the Columbia game back on Monday, the Big Red took a 42-38 lead into the break. Cornell posted a 60-47 run in the second half for the 102-85 victory. Guy Ragland was the top team scorer with 14 points and three assists.

Harvard Crimson

Over on the Harvard side, they were 9-5 through 14 games with losses to Louisiana, Fordham, UMass, Howard and Kansas. The Crimson are 2-3 since then with losses to Princeton, Yale and Dartmouth.

Matched up against Dartmouth on Monday, the Crimson took a 34-26 deficit into the second half. Harvard rallied for a 33-26 run in the second but still lost 60-59. Evan Nelson was the leading team scorer on 19 points with three rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to stick with Cornell in this one. The Big Red didn’t have much trouble at all with Columbia in their last outing and boasted six different players with double-digit points. Cornell has scored 68 or more points in eight straight games and should put up a solid total in this one. As for Harvard, they’ve had some mixed results lately. The Crimson have been at 66 points or fewer in three of the last five games, taking losses in all three of those. I don’t see Harvard keeping a cover pace here.
