High Point vs Arkansas State Prediction 3-26-24 College Basketball Picks

The Arkansas State Red Wolves and the High Point Panthers meet Tuesday in CBI college basketball action from Ocean Center. Here’s an Arkansas State vs High Point prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game. We will examine:

Arkansas State Red Wolves Betting Preview

The Red Wolves posted a rough 10-14 run in their first 24 games this year, but they’ve improved massively since then. Arkansas State finished off the year on a 6-1 run, then took out Louisiana and App State in the conference tournament before a loss to James Madison.

Following an opener CBI win over Bethune-Cookman 86-85, the Red Wolves had an easier time with Montana. Arkansas State was up 42-23 by halftime in that one and cruised to the 74-61 win. Izaiyah Nelson led the team with his 17 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.

High Point Panthers Betting Preview

Over on the High Point side, they stormed out to a nice 20-4 run over their first 24 games this year. The Panthers would lose three of the final eight games, though (to UNC Asheville, USC Upstate and Longwood). In their first conference tourney matchup versus Longwood, High Point fell in OT.

The Panthers were able to get back into the win column during Monday’s CBI matchup versus Cleveland State. High Point jumped out to a 46-30 edge by the break, then hit a 47-44 run for a 93-74 win. Top scorer Abdoulaye Thiam put up 27 points with five rebounds in the victory.

Arkansas State vs High Point Prediction

I’ll probably lean toward High Point. The Panthers made short work of a pretty good Cleveland State team on Monday, hitting 53.8 percent from the field and notching a 40-33 rebounding edge. High Point hit a nice 14-of-15 (93.3 percent) from the line and had 15 team assists. The Panthers have now scored 72 or more points in 22 straight games.

As for Akransas State, they’re playing well lately and could really do some damage here if they’re on point. The Red Wolves didn’t shoot all that well from the field versus Montana (39.1 percent) however, and missed five of their 17 free throws (70.6 percent). Still, Arkansas State has scored 71 or more points in four of the last five games and should post a decent total on Tuesday as well. Ultimately I like High Point to pull off the cover here, but it’ll be interesting. The Winner of this game will take on Fairfield or Seattle in the CBI finals.
