The Harvard Crimson and the Holy Cross Crusaders meet in college basketball action from the Hart Center on Wednesday night.

Chris Ledlum leads the Crimson in scoring and rebounding with 18.7 PPG and 7.3 RPG while Sam Silverstein has 11.3 PPG with 4.7 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Harvard up to this point in the season. Chisom Okpara has 9.3 PPG while Evan Nelson has 3.6 APG to lead Harvard in assists up to this point in the season. As a team, Harvard is averaging 68.7 PPG on 47.3% shooting from the field, 28.7% from three point range and 63.7% from the foul line this season.

The Holy Cross Crusaders will try to build on a 95-61 win over subdivision Colby-Sawyer last time out. Gerrale Gates leads the Crusaders in scoring and rebounding with 17.1 PPG and 8.7 RPG while Bo Montgomery has 13.7 PPG with 3.7 RPG and Will Batchelor has 11.1 PPG and a team-high 3 APG to lead Holy Cross in the assist department thisseason. Joseph Octave has 10 PPG and 4 RPG to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Holy Cross up to this point in the year. As a team, Holy Cross is averaging 73 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field, 39.1% from three and 62.8% from the foul line this season.

Harvard is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 Wednesday games and 6-21-1 ATS in their last 28 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 21-8 in their last 29 games following a loss. Holy Cross is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 15-36 ATS in their last 51 home games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games following a win.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I’m leaning towards Harvard here. Holy Cross has been competitive, but the problem for the Crusaders is that they can’t get over the hump and get the win and I think it’s going to be no different here. Give me Harvard in this one.
