Southern Illinois is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record and 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games following a loss while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record. Illinois State is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a loss while the over is 14-6 in their last 20 games overall.
Neither of these teams are playing all that well right now so I’m not rushing to the window to bet this one, but I’m leaning towards Illinois State here for a couple of reasons. For one, they’re at home where they’re 9-3 SU and in a pick ‘em spot, it doesn’t take a genius to see what that means and second, the Redbirds have just been the more trustworthy offensive team in my opinion for much of the season. The home court is the bigger edge for me here though so I’ll lean the way of Illinois State.
