Miami-OH kicked off their season with a 78-74 loss to Evansville in the opener. The Redhawks got their first win of the year with an 87-44 result over Goshen, then fell to Georgia 77-70 on Monday in game three.

In the Marshall game on Thursday, the Redhawks faced a 14-point deficit at the break. Miami-OH was outscored 50-38 from there in a 95-69 loss. Anderson Mirambeaux led the team on 19 points and six boards, while Julian Lewis added 15 points.

Over on the Indiana side, they faced off against Morehead State in their opener. The Hoosiers posted 47 points in the second half during an 88-53 blowout win. Likewise in game two versus Bethune-Cookman: Indiana took a huge win 101-49.

Indiana had their closest game of the year on Friday versus Xavier. The Hoosiers trailed 40-38 entering halftime, but rallied with 43 points from there in an 81-79 comeback win. Trayce Jackson-Davis led the team on 30 points and six rebounds.

PICK: I’m probably going to stay with Indiana but the line is too thick to mess with. The Hoosiers had a shootout going versus Xavier in their last outing. Indiana ended up shooting 51.7 percent from the field with a 37-34 rebounding advantage in the close win. It was a nice comeback to keep the momentum going. As for Miami-OH, it’s going to be tough for them to keep pace here if Indiana is hitting shots at their normal pace. Should be another blowout win for the Hoosiers if all goes according to plan.
