The Utah State Aggies and the Iowa Hawkeyes meet in college basketball action from the Sanford Pentagon on Saturday night.
The Utah State Aggies will look to add to a 95-80 win over Weber State in their last game. Justin Bean leads the Aggies in scoring and rebounding by averaging a double-double per game with 19.4 PPG and 11 RPG while Brandon Horvath has 13.4 PPG with 5.8 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Utah State so far this season. Brock Miller has 9.7 PPG while Rylan Jones has 8.7 PPG and a team-high 6 APG to lead the Aggies in the assist department. As a team, Utah State is averaging 79.8 PPG on 48.7% shooting from the field, 38.3% from three and 75.6% from the foul line while allowing 68.1 PPG on 40.8% shooting from the field and 33.6% from the foul line this season.
The Iowa Hawkeyes will try to snap a three-game losing streak after a 73-53 loss at the hands of Iowa State in their last game. Keegan Murray leads the Hawkeyes in scoring and rebounding with 22.2 PPG and 7.9 RPG while Patrick McCaffery has 11.4 PPG and Jordan Bohannon has 10.5 PPG on the year. Kris Murray has 10.4 PPG and 5.7 RPG to round out the group of double-digit scorers for Iowa so far this season while Joe Toussaint also has a team-high 3.7 APG for the Hawkeyes this season. As a team, Iowa is averaging 86.4 PPG on 46.6% shooting from the field, 35.6% from three and 79.4% from the foul line while allowing 70.4 PPG on 42.1% shooting from the field and 33.5% from htree this season.

I get the case to be made either way here, but I’m more confident in the over. We all have seen the gawdy numbers that Iowa’s put up for much of the season and while I’m not sure if we see those numbers or not here, I think Utah State’s more than capable of hanging in there with the Hawkeyes offensively and I think this is a game that finishes in the 160s at the very least. Give me the over.
