Kansas State vs Nevada 11/22/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Nevada Wolf Pack and the Kansas State Wildcats meet in college basketball action from the John Gray Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

The Nevada Wolf Pack will try to build on a 75-68 win over Tulane in their last game. Jarod Lucas leads the Wolf Pack in scoring with 15.8 PPG while Kenan Blackshear has 12 PPG with 6.8 RPG and a team-high 6.5 APG to lead the Wolf Pack in the assist department this season. Will Baker has 10.7 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Nevada so far this season while Darrion Williams has 9.5 PPG and a team-high 8.3 RPG to lead the Wolf Pack on the glass up to this point in the year. K.J. Hymes also has 9 PPG and 4.5 RPG as well this season. As a team, Nevada is averaging 75.6 PPG on 44.7% shooting from the field, 36% from three point range and 75.6% from the foul line this season.

The Kansas State Wildcats will be out to build on their 77-57 win over Rhode Island last time out. Keyontae Johnson leads the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding with 16 PPG and 6 RPG while Markquis Nowell has 12 PPG with a team-high 6.7 APG to lead Kansas State in assists coming into this game. Nae’Qwan Tomlin also has 11.3 PPG with 5.7 RPG to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Kansas State up to this point in the season. As a team, Kansas State is averaging 75.5 points per game on 44% shooting from the field, 37.8% from behind the three point line and 79.3% from the foul line this season.

I get the case to be made either way here as these two teams have been on fairly similar trajectories up to this point in the season. However, I’m leaning towards Kansas State here just because I think Kansas State is the better and more talented team here. Both are solid and Nevada will be fine in conference play, but for this matchup, I think Kansas State just ends up being too much so give me the Wildcats in this one.
