Ball State Cardinals
Ball State hit a 10-4 run over their first 14 games, losing to Indiana State, Vermont, Duquense and San Jose State. The Cardinals are 3-1 since then with wins over Akron, Miami-OH and Western Michigan.
In the Western Michigan game on Tuesday, the Cardinals were up 31-29 by halftime. Ball State posted 40 points from there and won it 71-70. Jarron Coleman led the team on 22 points with eight rebounds.
Kent State Golden Flashes
Over on the Kent State side, they were 11-3 after 14 games with losses to Charleston, Houston and Gonzaga. The Flashes have since won four more games, taking out Miami-OH, Toledo, Ohio and Eastern Michigan.
In the Eastern Michigan game, the Flashes were up 38-33 going into the second half. Kent State kept it going with a 39-30 run from there and won it 77-63. Sincere Carry, Malique Jacobs and Jalen Sullinger each scored 14 points.

I’m going to take a stab on Kent State. We should have a pretty darn good matchup here regardless, though. Kent State is currently riding a nine-game win streak. The Flashes have put up 67 or more points in eight of those outings and 70 or more in three straight. Ball State has been rolling right along on the scoreboard themselves; the Cardinals have managed 70 or more points in six straight outings. I like this one to be a high-scoring total as well, with Kent State eking out a cover. Should be a fun one.
