Lehigh vs Holy Cross 1/10/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Holy Cross Crusaders and the Lehigh Mountain Hawks meet in college basketball action from Stabler Arena on Monday night.

The Holy Cross Crusaders will look to build on their 78-74 win over Lafayette last time out. Gerrale Gates leads the Crusaders in scoring and rebounding with 13.3 PPG along with 7.6 RPG while Kyrell Luc has 11.8 PPG with a team-high 2 APG and Judson Martindale has 11.2 PPG with 4.4 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Holy Cross so far this season. As a team, Holy Cross is averaging 66.3 PPG on 43% shooting from the field, 35.2% from three and 68.7% from the foul line while allowing 71.5 PPG on 46.8% shooting from the field and 33% from three this season.

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks will try to bounce back from a 77-55 loss to Army in their last game. Evan Taylor leads the Mountain Hawks in scoring and rebounding with 12.8 PPG along with 5.7 RPG while Jeameril Watson has 11.9 PPG with 4.4 RPG and Marques Wilson has 10.1 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Lehigh so far this season. Ben Knostman has a team-high 2.3 APG as well this season. As a team, Lehigh is averaging 64.2 PPG on 42.8% shooting from the field, 31.2% from three and 71.9% from the foul line while allowing 72.5 PPG on 44.1% shooting from the field and 37.3% from three this season.

Holy Cross is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 5-2-1 in their last 8 games following a win. Lehigh is 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games against a team with a losing record and 17-36 ATS in their last 53 home games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.

I get why Lehigh would be favored at home here, but I don’t think there’s a whole lot to separate these two struggling teams and historically, this has been a matchup that’s been dominated by the underdog so I’ll take the Holy Cross Crusaders and the points here.
