Lehigh vs Monmouth 11/27/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Monmouth Hawks and the Lehigh Mountain Hawks meet in a college basketball matchup from the Stabler Arena on Sunday.

The Monmouth Hawks will be looking for their first win of the year still after an 81-63 loss to Cornell last time out. Myles Foster leads Monmouth in scoring and rebounding with 11.2 PPG and 7.3 RPG as the lone double-digit scorer for the Hawks so far this season. Jack Collins has 9.5 PPG while Myles Ruth has a team-high 2.7 APG to lead Monmouth in assists. As a team, Monmouth is averaging 57.8 PPG on 38% shooting form the field, 26.1% from three and 62.1% from the foul line this season.

The Lehigh Mountain Hawks will try to build on an 82-76 win over St. Francis-PA in their last game. Evan Taylor leads Lehigh in scoring and rebounding with 12.6 PPG and 5.6 RPG while Keith Higgins Jr. has 11.8 PPG and Tyler Whitney-Sidney has 10.4 PPG with 4.6 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Lehigh up to this point in the year. Jalin Sinclair also leads Lehigh with 2.5 APG as well this season. As a team, Lehigh is averaging 73.4 PPG on 43.5% shooting from the field, 31.5% from three and 66.7% from the foul line this season.

Monmouth is 0-7 ATS in their last 7 road games and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 9-1 in their last 10 Sunday games. Lehigh is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Sunday games while the over si 5-0 in their last 5 home games against a team with a losing road record.

I get the case to be made either way here as Lehigh hasn’t had a tough schedule while Monmouth has but Monmouth hasn’t gotten any results in winnable games lately. That’s why I like Lehigh here. At least the Mountain Hawks have been taking case of the teams they should and it was against two opponents near Monmouth in the low-300s of the KenPom rankings. I just don’t see Monmouth keeping this one close, so give me Lehigh in this one.
