The Lipscomb Bisons and the Liberty Flames meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Liberty Arena. Lipscomb is 10-15 on the year. The Bisons lost to Florida Gulf Coast in their last game. As for Liberty, they’re 17-7 and coming off a win over Eastern Kentucky. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Lipscomb got off to a sketchy 8-8 start, and it hasn’t gotten any better from there on a 2-7 run. The losses during that stretch have come to Central AR, Jacksonville State, Bellarmine, Eastern Kentucky, Jacksonville, Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast.

Matched up against Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday, the Bisons had a 45-31 edge by halftime. Lipscomb was outscored 23-46 from there in a 77-68 loss. Tops in scoring was Ahsan Asadullah with 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists.

Over on the Liberty side, their year began at 8-6, and the Flames have been on a nice 9-1 run since. Liberty took out Boyce, Stetson, North Florida, FGCU, Jacksonville, North Alabama, Kennesaw State, Bellarmine and Eastern Kentucky in that time.

In the Eastern Kentucky game Saturday, the Flames managed a 49-30 edge by the break. Liberty was able to hang on from there in a 91-84 victory. Darius McGhee led the team with 21 points, two rebounds and six assists in the win.

The Flames are 15-7 ATS in the last 22 at home and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Tuesday games. The over is 9-4 in Liberty’s last 13 overall.
Meanwhile, the Bisons are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 overall and 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games. Lipscomb is 13-5 ATS in the last 18 Tuesday games.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Liberty here, but the line is probably too thick to mess with. The Flames haven’t had too many issues scoring this season. They’ve hit 71 or more points in 12 of their last 15 games—but did have a three-game stretch with 67 or fewer in each recently. Still, Liberty has plenty of firepower to put the Bisons away. Speaking of Lipscomb, they’ve put up some good points totals lately as well so I like this one to be a higher-scoring game. Ultimately Liberty should have all the control though.
