Holy Cross Crusaders
Holy Cross hit a rough 7-15 run across their first 22 games of the year. Since then the Crusaders are just 3-4 with losses to Army, Navy, Lafayette and Colgate mixed with wins over Boston U, American and Boston U again.
In the Colgate matchup back on Saturday, Holy Cross trailed 46-40 going into the second half. The Crusaders were outscored 50-33 from there and lost 96-73. Caleb Kenney was the top team scorer with 16 points and five rebounds.

Over on the Loyola side, they managed a similar 7-15 stretch in their first 22 games of the season. During the Greyhounds’ 3-4 run over the last seven games they’ve taken losses to Colgate, Boston U, Army and Navy.
On Saturday versus Navy, the Greyhounds were down 28-24 in the locker room. Loyola couldn’t get any closer on a 37-29 second half and lost 65-53. Kenny Jones posted 15 points with three assists to lead the way.
ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’ll probably stick with Loyola here. You could make a case either way, though; we should have a pretty evenly-matched game on our hands. That said, neither team is doing all that well lately. Loyola is fresh off a limp effort against Navy but the Greyhounds had performed pretty well in the two previous wins. These teams last saw each other on January 8 in a 63-55 home victory for Holy Cross. I like Loyola MD to get some revenge in a win/cover of their own in the rematch.
