The LSU Tigers and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons meet in college basketball action fro the State Farm Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The LSU Tigers will look to build on their 63-59 win over UT-Arlington last time out. Adam Miller leads the Tigers in scoring with 16.9 PPG while KJ Williams has 16.6 PPG with a team-high 7.4 RPG to lead the Tigers on the glass as the only other double-digit scorer for LSU so far this season. Justice Hill also has 9.4 PPG and 4 APG to lead the Tigers in the assist department this season. As a team, LSU is averaging 72 PPG on 46% shooting from the field, 38.6% from three and 72.9% from the foul line this season.

LSU is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Wake Forest is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss and 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up loss while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.
I get the case to be made for either side in this game, but I’m leaning towards Wake here. The problem with LSU is that they just turn the ball over far too often for my liking and Wake Forest is a team that prides itself on balance with solid defense and the more efficient offense in this matchup. Not a game I’m rushing to bet, but should be a fun one to watch. Give me the Demon Deacons here.
