In the Fairfield game on Sunday, the Peacocks were up 31-24 going into the second half. Saint Peter’s was outscored 32-21 from there and lost it 56-52. Isiah Dasher put up 13 points, and Jayden Saddler added 12 points with seven boards.

Over on the Marist side, they were 5-9 through 14 games with wins over American, Bucknell, Columbia, Maine and Mount St. Mary’s. The Foxes are on a three-game win streak right now, beating Canisius and Niagara in the last pair.

Matched up against Niagara on Sunday, the Foxes were down by one point at halftime. Marist hit a 38-35 run in the second half and powered out the win 66-64. Patrick Gardner led the team on 31 points, and Kam Farris added 18 points.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m leaning toward Marist in this one. Probably staying away, though. This matchup could go either way and there’s not a ton of intrigue involved anyway. That said, Marist is looking decent on this current three-game win streak. Had it not come after a five-game losing streak, the Foxes would be in good shape. Marist has only eclipsed 66 points once in the last five games however, so they’ll need to pick up the offense. As for Saint Peter’s, they’re in a bit of a slump themselves with 60 or fewer points in five straight games. I like Marist a little better on the cover but I’m not touching it.
