The Cincinnati Bearcats and the Memphis Tigers meet Sunday in college basketball action from FedEx Forum. Cincinnati is 11-4 so far this year. The Bearcats beat SMU in their last game. As for Memphis, they’re 8-5 this season and took out Tulsa in their most recent outing. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Cincinnati kicked off their year at 9-3, falling to Arkansas, Monmouth and Xavier along the way in their first dozen. Since then it’s been a loss to Tulane between wins over Tennessee Tech and SMU to move to 11-4.

In the SMU game on Thursday, Cincinnati jumped out to a 44-27 lead at the break and cruised from there in a 77-60 win. Tops in scoring was David DeJulius with 22 points and six assists. Mika Adams-Woods added 17 points as well.

Over on the Tigers’ side, they started the year 5-0 before a string of losses to Iowa State, Georgia, Ole Miss and Murray State. Memphis is 3-1 in their last four games with victories over Alabama, Wichita State and Tulsa.

Matched up against Tulsa on Tuesday, the Tigers outscored the Hurricane 34-25 in the first half and hung on for the 67-64 win. Leading scorers Malcolm Dandridge and Earl Timberlake each notched 12 points and a combined 10 rebounds.

The Tigers are 1-4 ATS in their last five at home and 2-6 ATS in their last eight overall. Memphis is 4-0 ATS in their last four Sunday games.

Meanwhile, the Bearcats are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 after an ATS win and 0-4 ATS in their last four road games. Cincinnati is 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine overall.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Cincinnati. The Bearcats are coming off a nice effort versus SMU, shooting 43.5 percent from the field with 43 rebounds and 20 team assists. Cincinnati has hit 71 or more points in four of their last five games.

As for Memphis, they had a run of 72 or more points in four straight games recently, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a fairly high total here. I like the Bearcats better on a potential cover, though.
