The Little Rock Trojans and the Miami-OH RedHawks meet Saturday in college basketball action from Millett Hall. Little Rock is 2-4 on the year so far. The Trojans fell to Indiana in their last game. As for Miami-OH, they’re 1-4 this season. The RedHawks lost to Indiana in their most recent appearance. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Little Rock posted a 94-63 loss to Southern Illinois in their opener, then bounced back with a win over AR Baptist. The Trojans lost to Central Arkansas and East Tennessee State before another win over Jackson State back on Sunday.

In Wednesday’s game versus Indiana, Little Rock trailed by nine going into the second half. The Trojans wouldn’t get any closer than that however, falling 87-68. Top team scorer DJ Smith had 20 points, and Myron Gardner had 14 points with nine boards.

Over on the Miami-OH side, they went just 1-3 over their first four games. The RedHawks lost to Evansville then took out Goshen in game two. The next pair were both losses for Miami-OH to Georgia and Marshall.

On Sunday in their matchup versus Indiana, Miami-OH had a 43-26 deficit going into the second half. The RedHawks ended up losing 86-56. Both Mekhi Lairy and Julian Lewis scored 12 points apiece, combining for 12 rebounds.

PICK: I’m probably going to stay with Little Rock. There’s not a ton to like here, though. The Trojans shot a cold 33.3 percent against a good Indiana team in their last outing, getting out-rebounded 41-34 along the way. Still, Little Rock has a couple of solid outings in the books against comparable teams. The RedHawks should be in the Trojans’ wheelhouse, and I like Little Rock to cover in a competitive matchup.
