Jordyn Adams led the Cardinals with 15 points on 6 of 11 shooting with 5 assists while Kasen Harrison had 13 points on 5 of 10 shooting with a pair of threes and team-highs of 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Davion Buster added 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting with 3 threes to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Lamar in the winning effort. As a team, Lamar shot 50% from the field, 34.8% from three and 83.3% from the foul line in the win.
The Miami-Ohio RedHawks will look to build on their 72-69 win over Georgia Tech last time out. Mekhi Lairy led the RedHawks with 23 points on 9 of 19 shooting with 3 threes while Dae Dae Grant had 15 points with 5 rebounds and Dalonte Brown had 12 points with a team-high 9 rebounds. Precious Ayah had 10 points with 3 steals as well to cap off the scoring in double figures for Miami-Ohio in the win. As a team, Miami-Ohio shot 39.1% from the field, 19.4% from three and 78.2% from the foul line in the win.

You could make a case for Lamar that Miami-Ohio could be in for a letdown after a big win over Georgia Tech. However, the RedHawks are just the better team here and I don’t like that Lamar has come out playing subdivision teams and now has to battle Miami-Ohio here. It’s hard to get behind Lamar when they haven’t really played anyone. Miami-Ohio just took down a tournament team from last March and looked good doing it. Give me the RedHawks here.
