The Lipscomb Bisons and the Michigan Wolverines meet Saturday in college basketball action from Crisler Center. Lipscomb is 7-4 overall this year. The Bisons beat Tennessee Tech in their last game. As for Michigan, they’re 6-3 and coming off a win over Minnesota. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Lipscomb hit a 6-2 run over their first eight games this year, beating CU Harrodsburg, Belmont, Covenant, Chattanooga, Navy and Trevecca Nazarene. The Bisons lost to Alabama A&M and Tennessee State in the next pair.

Lipscomb got back into the win column on Wednesday in a tight game versus Tennessee Tech. The Bisons held a one-point edge in the second half and notched a 64-63 win. Ahsan Asadulla led the way on 21 points with 15 boards.

Over on the Michigan side, they went 5-1 over their first half-dozen games, falling to only Arizona State. The Wolverines would then lose two tough matchups versus Virginia and Kentucky before a win over Minnesota.

In the Minnesota game, the Wolverines took a 47-31 edge into halftime. Michigan held the pace from there and emerged with a 90-75 win. Hunter Dickinson topped the team on 19 points and four boards.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Michigan. The Wolverines are coming off a pretty solid effort versus a struggling Minnesota team. Michigan shot 52.4 percent from the field with 33 rebounds and 18 assists in that one. It’s been a solid run for the Wolverines over the last five games even though they’re 3-2 in that time. Michigan lost by a combined six points to two ranked teams. As for Lipscomb, they’ve hit 64 points or fewer in two of the last three games and had trouble getting by Tennessee Tech on Wednesday. I don’t think they’ll keep pace in this one.
