Missouri State vs East Tennessee State 11/23/2021 College Basketball Picks, Best Bets and Odds

The East Tennessee State Buccaneers and the Missouri State Bears meet in college basketball action from the Community School of Naples on Tuesday.

The East Tennessee State Buccaneers will be looking to build on their 66-58 win over Murray State last time out. David Sloan leads the Buccaneers with 13 PPG along with a team-high 4 APG while Jordan King has 11 PPG with 2.7 APG as the only other double-digit scorer for ETSU up to this point in the season. Silas Adheke also has a team-high 5 RPG for the Buccaneers this season. As a team, East Tennessee State is averaging 62.8 PPG on 38.4% shooting from the field, 28.2% from three and 76.9% from the foul line while allowing 66 PPG on 40.9% shooting from the field and 29.3% from three this season.

The Missouri State Bears will be looking to build on their 92-66 win over Long Beach State last time out. Isiaih Mosley leads the Bears in scoring with 22.7 PPG while Gaige Prim has 18.7 PPG and a team-high 14 RPG to average a double-double per game through three contests this season. Jaylen Minnett has 14 PPG and Ja’Monte Black has 11 PPG with 3.7 RPG while Donovan Clay’s got 10 PPG and 4.7 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Missouri State this season. As a team, Missouri State’s averaging 85.3 PPG on 49.6% shooting from the field, 35.7% from three and 79.6% from the foul line while allowing 70 PPG on 40.3% shooting from the field and 34.1% from three this season.

Both of these teams did well to get their respective wins on Monday, but all in all, I’m not buy it long terms from East Tennessee State. The Buccaneers just don’t have the size to bang in the middle with someone like Prim from Missouri State, and I just think that if you’re giving up a lot of second chance points, you’re not going to put yourself in a successful position late. Give me the Bears laying the points here.
