UNC Wilmington has lost to only North Carolina, Oklahoma and UConn this year. The wins otherwise have come versus Allen, Mount Olive Missouri State, Vermont, North Texas, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Jacksonville, High Point and Campbell.

In the game versus Campbell last Wednesday, the Seahawks took a 35-29 deficit into halftime. UNC Wilmington stormed back on a 45-31 run from there and won it 74-66. Maleeck Harden-Hayes was tops in scoring with 22 points and three rebounds.

Over on the Monmouth side, they’ve got just one win over Manhattan. It’s been losses to Seton Hall, Virginia, Illinois, Norfolk State, Colgate, Cornell, Lehigh, Rider, Princeton, Syracuse, Charlotte and Yale otherwise.

Back on Thursday versus Yale, Monmouth was drilled in the first half 40-16. The Hawks didn’t get any closer and lost in a blowout 76-44. Myles Foster was the leading team scorer in that one with 17 points and five boards.

PICK: I’m going to stay with UNC Wilmington. The Seahawks got into a bit of trouble in the first half of their last game versus Campbell, but the good news is that they made some adjustments in the second half and won. After a 1-3 start, UNC Wilmington is riding a nice nine-game win streak. The Seahawks have hit 68 or more points in all but two of those outings and should put up a nice total here as well. As for Monmouth, there’s not a lot to get excited about. The Hawks have a combined 90 points over their last two games and will face an uphill battle in this one.
