The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions and the Nebraska Cornhuskers meet in college basketball action from Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions will try to bounce back from a 67-58 loss to Cleveland State last time out. Shaun Doss Jr. has a team-high 20 PPG with 4.3 RPG while Kylen Milton has 12.3 PPG with a team-high 4.2 APG as the only other double-digit scorer for UAPB while leading the Golden Lions in assists. Chris Greene has 9.2 PPG while Ismael Plet has a team-high 8.2 RPG to lead the Golden Lions on the glass. As a team, Arkansas-Pine Bluff is averaging 65 PPG on 38.1% shooting from the field, 29.7% from three and 68.6% from the foul line this season.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will hope to bounce back from a 70-50 loss to St. John’s last time out. Sam Griesel leads the Huskers in scoring with 15.3 PPG along with 6.7 RPG and a team-high 3.3 APG to lead Nebraska in assists as well. C.J. Wilcher and Keisei Tominaga each have 11.3 PPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Nebraska up to this point in the season while Emmanuel Bandoumel and Juwan Gary each have a team-high 7.7 RPG this season. As a team, Nebraska is averaging 68 PPG on 41.3% shooting from the field, 27.9% from three and 60.7% from the foul line this season.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games following a win while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 Sunday games. Nebraska is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games against a team with a losing road record while the under is 3-0-1 in their last 4 games overall.

I get the case to be made for an underdog like UAPB, but the problem for the Golden Lions is that they’ve struggled mightily against power conference teams this season. Would it shock anyone if Nebraska lost this game or turned it into a nailbiter? No, but I think the results for Pine Bluff suggest this could be a blowout spot for even the Cornhuskers. Not rushing to bet this one, but I’ll lean Nebraska.
