Nebraska vs Minnesota College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 2/27/21

The Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers meet in college basketball action from Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday evening.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers will look to snap a four-game losing streak after a 67-59 loss to Northwestern last time out. Marcus Carr wasn’t 100% but still leads Minnesota in scoring and assists with 19.1 PPG and 5.1 APG while Liam Robbins continues to miss time with an ankle injury with his 11.7 PPG and 6.6 RPG this season. Brandon Johnson has 9 PPG and 5.1 RPG and Both Gach has7 PPG for the Gophers. As a team, Minnesota is averaging 73.7 PPG on 40.2% shooting from the field, 29% from 3-point range and 75.2% from the foul line while allowing 73.3 PPG on 44% shooting from the field and 34.4% from three this season.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will try to bounce back after an 86-70 loss to Illinois last time out. Teddy Allen leads Nebraska in coring with 17.1 PPG with 4.9 RPG while Trey McGowens has 10.7 PPG and 2 APS. Dalano Banton has 9.7 PPG with team-highs of 6.1 RPG and 4.2 APG as well for Nebraska this season. As a team, Nebraska is averaging 69.6 PPG on 41.2% shooting from the field and 32.5% from 3-point range this season.

Minnesota is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games as a favorite. Nebraska is 5-14 ATS in their last 19 home games and 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games as a home underdog while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 games overall. The home team is 12-2 ATS in the last 14 meetings between these two teams.

Neither of these teams have been able to do much of anything right as of late, but the difference is that Minnesota’s just been bit by the injury bug while Nebraska’s struggled all year long. With that said, Minnesota struggled on the road a ton when they were healthy and you have to imagine that Nebraska will come out with a bit more pride in this one. I’ll take a shot
