Nebraska vs Oklahoma 11/24/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Oklahoma Sooners and the Nebraska Cornhuskers meet Thursday in college basketball action from HP Field House. Oklahoma comes into this matchup at 3-1 overall. The Sooners beat South Alabama in their last game. As for Nebraska, they’re sitting at 3-1 as well and coming off a win over AR-Pine Bluff. Oklahoma lost their opener this year, falling 52-51 to Sam Houston in a tough result. The Sooners were able to bounce back with wins in their next two games, though. Oklahoma beat AR-Pine Bluff 66-58 and UNCW 74-53.

On Friday versus South Alabama, the Sooners took another win. Oklahoma trailed 33-30 by halftime but scored 34 points from there in a 64-60 comeback win. Grant Sherfield had 17 points, and Tanner Groves doubled on 15 points and 11 boards.

Over on the Nebraska side, they kicked off the season with a pair of victories in their first two games. The Cornhuskers beat Maine 79-66 and followed that up with a 75-61 win over Omaha. Game three was a 70-50 loss to St. John’s, however.

Nebraska was in trouble at halftime of their Sunday game versus AR-Pine Bluff. The Cornhuskers trailed 39-36 at the break, then hit a 46-19 run for an 82-58 victory. Juwan Gary had 17 points, and Blaise Keita doubled with 14 points and 10 boards.

PICK: I’m leaning toward Nebraska in this one. You could make a good case either way, though; we should have a good matchup, and both teams are coming off sluggish first halves in their last appearances. Nebraska ended up shooting 53.7 percent against AR-Pine Bluff with 37 rebounds and 17 assists. Oklahoma shot 43.6 percent in their comeback win over South Alabama, adding 39 rebounds and 16 assists. I like this one to be back and forth before Nebraska ekes out a cover.
