Nebraska vs Oregon State Prediction 12-25-24 College Basketball Picks

The Oregon State Beavers and the Nebraska Cornhuskers meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Stan Sheriff Center. Here’s a Nebraska vs Oregon State prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Nebraska vs Oregon State Prediction.

Oregon State Betting Preview

The Beavers’ season kicked off with four straight wins before a pair of losses to Oregon and North Texas. Oregon State has since taken out UC Davis, Idaho, UC Irvine, Sacramento State, Charleston, and Oakland over the last six games.

In the Oakland matchup on Monday, the Beavers posted 34 points in the first half, 37 in the second, and nine in overtime for an 80-74 victory. Tops in scoring was Liutauras Lelevicius with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Nebraska Cornhuskers Betting Preview

Over on the Nebraska side, they went 6-1 over their first seven outings with wins over UTRGV, Bethune-Cookman, Fairleigh Dickinson, Creighton, South Dakota, and North Florida. After a loss to Michigan State, the Cornhuskers beat Indiana, Murray State, and Hawaii.

Matched up against Hawaii in Monday’s game, the Cornhuskers held a slim two-point lead in the locker room. Nebraska hit a 40-28 run the rest of the way in a 69-55 win. Brice Williams topped the team with 32 points and three assists.

Nebraska vs Oregon State Prediction

I’ll lean toward Oregon State, but you could make a case either way. The Beavers didn’t have the greatest performance in their OT win over a struggling Oakland team on Monday, hitting 42.4 percent from the field with 11 turnovers. Oregon State has scored 74 or more points in five of the six games during this current win streak though, holding opponents to fewer than 66 points in five as well.

As for Nebraska, they had a good second half versus Hawaii and ended up shooting a nice 47.3 percent from the field. The Cornhuskers have given up a combined 104 points in their last two games, so points could be at a premium for Oregon State here. All things considered though, I like the Beavers to eke out a cover in what should be a fun matchup.
