New Hampshire vs Holy Cross 12/19/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Holy Cross Crusaders and the New Hampshire Wildcats meet Monday in college basketball action from Lundholm Gym. Holy Cross is 3-8 overall this year. The Crusaders lost to Northeastern in their last game. As for New Hampshire, they’re currently 4-6 after a win over Saint Joseph last week. Holy Cross has managed to beat Dean, Colby-Sawyer and Central CT State this year. Otherwise the losses have come to Siena, Creighton, Stonehill, Fordham, UIC, Harvard, Quinnipiac and Northeastern.

In the Matchup versus Northeastern on December 10, the Crusaders were up 31-26 by halftime. Holy Cross was outscored 33-27 from there and lost 59-58. Gerrale Gates put up 19 points and eight boards to lead the team.

Over on the New Hampshire side, they’ve beaten Brandeis, Fairfield, Boston College and Saint Joseph this year. The Wildcats’ losses have been to Fordham, Boston U, George Washington, Sacred Heart, Columbia and St. John’s.

In the game versus Saint Joseph, the Wildcats were up 45-37 by halftime. New Hampshire kept it up in the second with 59 more points in a 104-61 win. Matthew Herasme put up 17 points with five rebounds to lead the way.

PICK: I’m going to stay with New Hampshire. Granted, there’s not a ton of intrigue here but the Wildcats should have control. New Hampshire is just 2-3 in their last five games. The Wildcats lost two of those by five points or fewer, though. New Hampshire should match up pretty well against Holy Cross, who has scored 63 or fewer points in three of their last four games. If the Crusaders are playing well they’ll make this one interesting but I don’t think they’ll cover.
