NJIT vs Binghamton 1/11/23 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Binghamton Bearcats and the NJIT Highlanders meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Wellness and Events Center. Binghamton stands at 5-10 overall this year. The Bearcats beat New Hampshire in their last game. As for NJIT, they’re 4-11 following a loss to Maine on Sunday. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Binghamton could only muster three wins in the first 10 games, beating Cazenovia, Marist and Columbia. The Bearcats are 2-3 in their last five outings with wins over SUNY Oneonta and New Hampshire in that stretch.

Matched up against New Hampshire last Thursday, the Bearcats were up 37-23 at the break. Binghamton posted a 31-27 run in the second half and won it 68-50. Miles Gibson led the way on 20 points with 10 rebounds.

Over on the NJIT side, they were just 1-9 after 10 games this year. The Highlanders only win came versus Sacred Heart. Since then NJIT is 3-2 with wins over Niagara, St. Elizabeth and Maine during that stretch.

On Sunday in the Maine game, the Highlanders scored 41 points in the first half, 36 more in the second and 14 in overtime on the way to a 91-83 victory. Miles Coleman topped the team with 22 points and six rebounds.

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Binghamton. Granted, there’s not much intrigue involved in a matchup between two teams with a combined nine wins, but it should be a pretty good game. The Bearcats have scored pretty well lately with 67 or more points in five straight games. NJIT has hit 73 or more points in three of the last four and the Highlanders are coming off a nice win over Maine on Sunday. I like this one to be quite competitive and entertaining as the Bearcats eke out a cover (and maybe a win).
