The Eastern Washington Eagles and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks meet Saturday in college basketball action from Findlay Toyota Center. Eastern Washington is coming off a Thursday matchup versus Northern Colorado. In that one the Eagles won by eight points. As for Northern Arizona, they played Idaho in their Thursday game. Eastern Washington Eagles
Eastern Washington beat MS Valley State, Stony Brook, ND State, California, UC Davis, Northwest Indian and Montana in their first 14 games. The Eagles would keep it going with wins over Montana State, Portland State, Sac State, Idaho and Montana.
In the Thursday matchup versus Northern Colorado, Eastern Washington took a 39-35 advantage into the second half. The Eagles kept rolling with a 44-40 run from there and won it 83-75. Ethan Price topped the team on 23 points.
Northern Arizona Lumberjacks
Over on the Northern Arizona side, they were 4-10 through 14 games with wins over Benedictine Mesa, UCSB, Ottawa AZ and Pacific. The Lumberjacks went 1-4 over the next five outings with a lone win over Montana.
On Thursday versus Idaho, Northern Arizona was outscored 47-36 in the first half. The Lumberjacks made a game of it with 47 second-half points but lost 88-83. Jalen Cone was the top team scorer on 22 points and five assists.

I’ll probably stick with Eastern Washington. The Eagles are on a nice nine-game winning streak right now, and they’ve hit 70 or more points in 10 of their last 11 outings. As for Northern Arizona, they’ve lost four straight games. The Lumberjacks have given up 69 or more points in three of those games as well, so Eastern Washington should have plenty of opportunities to score in this one. I think the Eagles will do well here.
