Northern Kentucky vs Robert Morris 2/24/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Robert Morris Colonials and the Northern Kentucky Norse meet Thursday in college basketball action from BB&T Arena. Robert Morris is 7-21 so far this year. The Colonials lost to UIC in their last game. As for Northern Kentucky, they’re sitting at 16-11 and coming off a win over Oakland. Robert Morris had a rough start to the season with a 3-16 run, but did win three of four games in late January/early February. Since then it’s been a 1-4 stretch with losses to Detroit, Oakland, IUPUI and UIC.

In the UIC game back on Saturday, the Colonials outscored the Flames 39-38 in the second half to force overtime. Robert Morris ended up losing 96-88 after the extra period. Kahliel Spear put up 24 points with nine rebounds to lead the way.

Over on the Northern Kentucky side, they got off to a sketchy start themselves this year at 6-9. The Norse have gone a solid 10-2 since then, however. Northern Kentucky is 4-1 in their last five outings and coming off a weekend win over Oakland.

Matched up against Oakland on Sunday, the Norse were down 32-40 at halftime. Northern Kentucky surged on a 39-26 run from there to secure the 71-66 comeback win. Marques Warrick led the team on his 27 points and four assists.

The Norse are 4-1 ATS in their last five at home and 7-2 ATS in their last nine after an ATS win. The over is 5-1 in Northern Kentucky’s last six after an ATS win.

Meanwhile, the Colonials are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four road games and 12-26-2 ATS in the last 40 overall. The under is 5-1 in Robert Morris’ last six overall.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Northern Kentucky. The Norse haven’t had too many issues on offense lately; they’ve hit 68 or more points in seven of their last eight games. Northern Kentucky is prone to duds here and there, however; one of those duds came the last time these teams met up. That one was a 74-64 home win for Robert Morris. I like Northern Kentucky to take control of this rematch and get some revenge with a dominant cover.
