The UNC Greensboro Spartans come into this game looking to build on a 57-53 win over North Carolina A&T in their season opener. De’Monte Buckingham led the Spartans with 28 points, shooting 9 of 15 from the floor with 4 threes, accounting for almost half of the team’s points while being the only Spartan to score in double figures in the win. Trey Robinson added 13 points and Bryson Langdon had 11 points on a perfect 5 of 5 from the floor with 4 assists to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for NKU in the win. David Bohm had 5 points to match his team-high 5 assists while Adrian Nelson and Chris Brandon each had a team-high 9 rebounds with Nelson logging 8 points as well in the win. As a team, Northern Kentucky shot 50% from the field, 39.5% from three and 71.4% from the foul line in the victory.

This is shaping up to be an interesting matchup, but in the end, I think our best bet here is the under. UNCG stifled North Carolina A&T, but also came up with just 57 points against the Aggies. Meanwhile the Norse held a subdivision team to 54 points but they also closed last year putting up just 58 points against Oakland and I think the Spartans could have another defensive clinic in store here. Either way, I see this one ending just as the first game did, well under this number.
