Oklahoma State started out their campaign this year versus Texas-Arlington and didn’t have a ton of trouble. The Cowboys scored 50 points in the second half in a 77-66 win. Bryce Thompson was the top team scorer with 18 points and seven rebounds.

In game two, Oklahoma State played Southern Illinois. The Cowboys went into halftime with a five-point lead but were outscored 33-27 from there in a 61-60 loss. Moussa Cisse managed a double-double for Oklahoma State with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Over on the Oakland side, they had a pretty easy matchup in their first game of the year versus Defiance. Oakland was up 43-14 by halftime and cruised to the 92-27 result. Keaton Hervey was tops in scoring with 19 points and six boards.

Oakland faced a tougher foe in Bowling Green during game two. The Grizzlies were down 45-39 by the break and eventually lost 87-82. Trey Townsend led the team on 23 points, and Hervey added 11 boards and nine points.

OK State is 3-1-2 ATS in their last six after a straight-up loss and 1-3-2 ATS in their last six road games. The Grizzlies are 6-2 ATS in their last eight Sunday games and 1-5 ATS in their last six at home.

PICK: I’m going to try Oakland here. The Grizzlies couldn’t quite overcome Bowling Green in their last game despite shooting 50 percent from the field. Oakland was out-muscled on the boards pretty badly (45-27) and shot 29.2 percent from 3-point range.

As for Oklahoma State, they held Southern Illinois to 38.3 percent from the field in their loss. The Cowboys hit just 8-of-16 from the line but did a good job rebounding with a 43-31 advantage. Oklahoma State should do better here but I think Oakland can get in there.
