Oklahoma State vs Kansas State 2/19/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Kansas State Wildcats and the Oklahoma State Cowboys meet in college basketball action from the Gallagher-Iba Arena on Saturday afternoon.

The Kansas State Wildcats will look to build on back-to-back wins after a 78-73 win over West Virginia in their last matchup. Nijel Pack leads the Wildcats in scoring with 17.5 PPG while Markquis Nowell has 12 PPG and a team-high 5 APG as well this season. Mark Smith also has 12.2 PPG along with a team-high 8.5 RPG to lead the Wildcats on the glass and to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Kansas State so far this season. As a team, Kansas State is averaging 67.9 PPG on 41.9% shooting from the field, 34% from three and 71.5% from the foul line while allowing 64.4 PPG on 41.2% shooting from the field and 27.3% from three this season.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will hope to bounce back and find some consistency after alternating wins and losses in each of their last 5 games after a 76-62 loss at Kansas last time out.  Avery Anderson III leads the Cowboys in scoring with 11.4 PPG while Bryce Thompson has 10.4 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Oklahoma State so far this season. Bryce Williams has got 9.5 PPG while Isaac Likekele has 7.4 PPG with 5.6 RPG and a team-high 3.6 APG to lead the Cowboys in assists this season. Moussa Cisse also has a team-high 5.9 RPG to lead the Cowboys on the glass this year. As a team, Oklahoma State is averaging 69.5 PPG on 43.8% shooting from the field, 29.7% from three and 67% from the foul line while allowing 66.9 PPG on 39.9% shooting from the field and 32.6% from three this season.

Kansas State is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games as a road underdog and 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 Saturday games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a win. Oklahoma State is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games against a team with a winning road record and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record.

I get why OK State’s favored at home, but the reality is that the Cowboys haven’t been anything special, as they’re 8-5 SU and just 5-8 ATS at home. Kansas State’s been an outstanding 7-2 ATS on the road this season and I think the Wildcats will be able to keep this one close if not give themselves a chance to win this one outright, so give me the Wildcats and the points here.
