Oklahoma State vs Sam Houston State 12/6/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Sam Houston State Bearkats and the Oklahoma State Cowboys meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Gallagher-Iba Arena. Sam Houston is 7-1 so far this year. The Bearkats took out Dallas Christian College in their last game. As for Oklahoma State, they’re 5-3 and coming off a 10-point loss to UConn. Sam Houston won their first six games of the year. Those victories came versus Oklahoma, SW Adventist, LeTourneau, Utah, Northern Illinois and South Dakota. The Bearkats’ first loss of the year came in game seven versus Nevada.

Sam Houston got back into the win column on Saturday versus Dallas Christian. The Bearkats scored 67 points in the first half and cruised to the 111-58 victory. Both Qua Grant and Lamar Wilkerson scored 16 points apiece to lead the team.

Over on the Oklahoma State side, they hit a 2-2 run out of the gate this year with wins over TX-Arlington and Oakland alongside losses to Southern IL and UCF. The Cowboys then won their next three over DePaul, Tulsa and Prairie View.

Oklahoma State took on UConn last Thursday. The Cowboys were down 48-31 by the break and couldn’t catch up in a 74-64 loss despite a 33-26 second-half advantage. Kalib Boone led the team on 15 points with eight rebounds.

PICK: I’ll stay with Sam Houston here. The Bearkats have a few wins this year versus overmatched teams, but (for the most part) they’re standing tall against comparable teams as well. The Bearkats didn’t play great against Nevada, however they’ve been scoring well all season with 80 or more points in five of their eight outings. As for Oklahoma State, they’ve scored 78 or more in three of their last four games. The Cowboys should put up a good total here as well, and I like Sam Houston to stay with a cover pace. Should be an interesting matchup.
