Texas has kept a pretty steady pace so far this year; the Longhorns have only lost consecutive games once. In the last quartet Texas is 2-2. They’ve got wins over Iowa State and Kansas between losses to Texas Tech and Baylor in that time.

In the Baylor game on Saturday, the Longhorns were outscored 31-44 in the first half and 32-36 in the second during an 80-63 loss. Texas’ only double-digit scorer was Andrew Jones with 11 points and one assist off the bench.

Over on the Oklahoma side, their year began on a nice 12-3 clip, but it’s been a rough road since then. The Sooners are 1-4 in their last five games. In that time they’ve lost to Auburn, TCU, Oklahoma State and Kansas (with a lone win over Texas Tech).

Matched up against Kansas on Saturday, the Sooners had a 34-31 lead by halftime. Oklahoma couldn’t hold on and ended up losing 71-69. Jordan Goldwire led the way on 20 points and Tanner Groves added 19 points with five assists.

The Sooners are 4-10 ATS in the last 10 after an ATS win and the under is 12-3 in their last 15 Tuesday games. Oklahoma is 18-7 ATS in the last 25 as an underdog.

Meanwhile, the Longhorns are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and the over is 4-0 in their last four road games. The under is 7-3 in Texas’ last 10 after an ATS loss.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Texas here. The Longhorns are coming out of a five-game gauntlet versus ranked teams, and they did pretty well at 3-2 in those matchups. Texas has been pretty spotty on the scoreboard lately due to the tough opponents, but this one should be more manageable. I like Oklahoma to hang around for a while here, however if Texas is playing well I don’t think the Sooners will be able to keep pace.
