Old Dominion vs Manhattan College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 11/15/2021

The Manhattan Jaspers and the Old Dominion Monarchs meet in college basketball action from the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Monday night.

The Manhattan Jaspers will look to build on their 2-0 start to the year after a 66-60 win over Fordham last time out. Warren Williams and Elijah Buchanan are the lone pair of double-digit scorers for Manhattan so far this season, each putting up 13 PPG while Samir Stewart has 9.5 PPG and Josh Roberts and Jose Perez each have 8 PPG with Perez leading the Jaspers with 9.5 APG this season. Samba Diallo leads Manhattan with 6 RPG while the aforementioned Buchanan has a team-high 4.5 steals per game this season. As a team, Manhattan is averaging 82.5 PPG on 49.6% shooting from the field, 38.9% fro three and 64.4% from the foul line while allowing 51 PPG on 37.8% from the field and 20% from three this season.

The Old Dominion Monarchs will look to bounce back from their 58-53 loss to James Madison in their last game. C.J. Keyser leads the Monarchs with 18.5 PPG while Kalu Ezikpe has 16 PPG along with a team-high 9 RPG as the only other Monarch averaging double figures scoring so far this season. Jaylin Hunter also has 9 PPG with 3.5 APG and 2.5 SPG this season. As a team, Old Dominion is averaging 66.5 PPG on 46.8% shooting from the field, 24.3% from three and 66.7% from the foul line while allowing 59 PPG on 35.8% from the field and 27% from three this season.

Manhattan is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a win and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 Monday games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games as an underdog. Old Dominion is 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS loss and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Monday games while the under is 6-0 in their last 6 games as a favorite.

I get the case to be made both ways but I’m going to side with the under in this matchup. These are traditionally two lower-scoring teams and a game that mirrors Old Dominion’s game against JMU where the first to 60 wins if we even get that high. Look for this game to be sponsored by a local apartment build with how many bricks are going to be laid in this game. Give me the under.
