The North Dakota State Bison and the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles meet Saturday in college basketball action from Mabee Center. North Dakota State sits at 11-7 so far. North Dakota State posted a pretty solid 11-5 run out of the gate this year. The losses in that time were to UNLV, Arizona, Creighton, Montana State and South Dakota State. The Bison have lost their last two games to Western Illinois and Kansas City.

In the matchup versus the Roos on Thursday, the Bison held a 41-34 halftime lead. North Dakota State fell behind on a 46-36 run from there for the 80-77 loss. Rocky Kreuser was the team’s leading scorer on 27 points and eight rebounds.

Over on the Oral Roberts side, their year began at a sketchy 7-6 with losses to Colorado State, Central Arkansas, Oklahoma State, TCU, Missouri State and South Dakota State. The last six games have all been wins, however; most recently over North Dakota on Thursday.

Matched up against North Dakota, the Eagles scored 39 points in the first half and 41 more in the second for an 80-76 victory. Max Abmas led the way on 19 points, and Kareem Thompson doubled on 15 points and 11 boards.

The Eagles are 7-1 ATS in the last eight at home and 20-7-1 ATS in the last 28 overall. Oral Roberts is 5-0 ATS in their last five after an ATS loss.

Meanwhile, the Bison are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games and 1-5 ATS in the last six overall. North Dakota State is 0-6-1 ATS in the last seven Saturday games.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Oral Roberts. The Eagles have been on a scoring tear over this 8-1 run. They’ve hit 71 points or more in every game, and 80 or more in each of their last six (all wins). North Dakota State has scored pretty well themselves lately though (71 or more in each of their last eight) so I like the Bison to hang around most of the game. Oral Roberts should be able to power out the cover, though.
