Pittsburgh vs VMI Prediction 11-18-24 College Basketball Picks

The VMI Keydets and the Pittsburgh Panthers meet Monday in college basketball action from Petersen Events Center. Here’s a Pittsburgh vs VMI prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Pittsburgh vs VMI pick.

VMI Keydets Betting Preview

VMI’s season kicked off with a 3-0 run. The Keydets took out Washington MD, Bellarmine, and Christendom during that trio. Game four was VMI’s first loss, however, as they fell 72-71 to Tennessee Tech in a tough result on Friday.

On Saturday versus Charleston Southern, the Keydets scored 40 points in each half and powered out an 80-69 victory in the end. Leading scorer Augustinas Kiudulas posted 22 points with four rebounds and two assists. VMI will play against Davidson, Loyola Maryland, and George Washington following this game.

Pittsburgh Panthers Betting Preview

Over on the Pittsburgh side, they’ve gotten off to a nice start through four games so far. The Panthers beat Radford and Murray State in their first pair. Game three was another win over Gardner-Webb 83-64, then came a victory versus West Virginia on Friday.

In their matchup versus the Mountaineers, Pittsburgh stormed out to a 44-22 lead by the break. The Panthers maintained a 42-40 run from there in an 86-62 victory. Leading scorer Damian Dunn finished with 23 points, and Guillermo Diaz Graham doubled on 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Pittsburgh vs VMI Prediction

I’ll go with Pittsburgh. The line’s a little too thick to mess with, though. The Panthers are coming off an impressive and dominant win versus West Virginia. Pittsburgh shot 48.3 percent from the field with 13 team assists and a 45-32 rebounding edge in that one. That makes four double-digit wins so far for the Panthers, with 83 or more points scored in each outing.

As for VMI, on Saturday they shot well from the field (49.1 percent) with only eight turnovers. The Keydets weren’t great from outside (26.1 percent) or the line (66.7 percent) however, and got out-rebounded 39-34. They’ll have their hands full against Pittsburgh.
