The Alabama A&M Bulldogs come into this game looking to snap a five-game losing skid after a 56-45 loss to North Alabama last time out. Jalen Johnson leads the Bulldogs in scoring and rebounding with 14.7 PPG and 7.2 RPG while Garrett Hicks has 13.8 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Alabama A&M this season. Cameron Tucker also has 6 PPG with a team-high 3.2 APG as well this season. As a team, Alabama A&M is averaging 57.2 PPG on 33.8% shooting from the field, 26.5% from three and 74.4% from the foul line while allowing 77 PPG on 43.3% shooting from the field and 40.4% from three this season.
The Samford Bulldogs will be out to build on a 74-64 win over Alabama State last time out. Ques Glover leads Samford in scoring and assists with 18.8 PPG and 4.6 APG while Jermaine Marshall has 12.9 PPG and a team-high 9.1 RPG to lead Samford on the glass. Jaden Campbell’s chipped in 11.1 PPG and 3.7 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Samford so far this season while Wesley Carder Jr. has 9.9 PPG with 4.4 RPG and Jacob Tryon has 7.6 PPG and 5.6 RPG. As a team, Samford is averaging 78.7 PPG on 42% shooting from the field, 33.9% from three and 76.5% from the foul line while allowing 73.1 PPG on 32% shooting from the field and 32% from three this season.
I can normally make the case for an underdog in certain spots but I just think there sis a wide gap between these two sets of Bulldogs. Look for Sanford to win this one big and cover the number in the process
