San Francisco vs Northern Iowa 11/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Northern Iowa Panthers and the San Francisco Dons meet in college basketball action from the T-Mobile Center on Monday.

The Northern Iowa Panthers will be out to bounce back from a 68-55 win over Richmond in their last game. Bowen Born leads the Panthers in scoring and assists with 18 PPG and 2 APG while Nate Heise has 12 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for the Panthers up to this point in the year. Tytan Anderson also has 9.5 PPG with a team-high 11 RPG to lead the Panthers on the glass. As a team, Northern Iowa is averaging 80 PPG on 46.9% shooting from the field, 29.6% from three and 66.7% from the foul line this season.

The San Francisco Dons will hope to build on their 67-60 win over Fresno State last time out. Tyrell Roberts leads the Dons in scoring with 15.3 PPG and Khalil Shabazz has 13.8 PPG with 5.5 RPG and a team-high 3.2 APG to lead the Dons in assists. Zane Meeks has 12 PPG with a team-high 7 RPG to lead the Dons in rebounding to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for San Francisco up to this point in the year. As a team, San Francisco is averaging 76.3 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field, 28.1% from three and 77.4% from the foul line this season.

Northern Iowa is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Monday games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 neutral site games while the over is 12-4 in their last 16 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. San Francisco is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 neutral site games and 5-16 ATS in their last 21 games following an ATS win while the under is 7-2-1 in their last 10 neutral site games.

I get the reasoning for backing either side in this game, but I’m not overly sold on Northern Iowa just yet. San Francisco is the better team talent-wise in this game, and have had the stronger showings so far this season. I think this one is a decent-sized victory for the Dons, so I’ll lay the points with San Francisco here.
