South Florida Bulls Betting Preview
Over on the Bulls’ side, they’ve had some close calls themselves but have only been able to carve out a .500 record thus far. South Florida kicked things off at 3-1 with a loss to George Washington amid wins over Florida A&M, Coppin State and Kennesaw State. Since then however, it’s been a 1-3 run with a lone win over Western Kentucky. The Bulls have otherwise lost to Oklahoma State, VCU and Colorado State in that time. In total that gives USF a 4-4 run across their first eight outings.
Matched up against Colorado State back on Friday, the Bulls went into the second half with a 33-29 deficit. South Florida didn’t end up getting any closer on a 50-39 run from there and took a loss 83-68. Josh Pascarelli finished with a team-high 28 points and two boards while Carey Booth had 16 points with six boards. Jase Butler also finished in double-digits with 11 points and three assists in the losing effort for the Bulls.

I’ll stay with the Aggies. Utah State had a razor-close escape versus a middling Montana State team in their last outing though, so they’ll need to be a bit sharper here. The Aggies weren’t spectacular from the line in that one (18-of-26 for 69.2 percent) and got out-rebounded 39-35 in the overtime victory. Utah State shot pretty well from the floor though (46.8 percent) and had a 40-28 advantage on points in the paint. That gives the Aggies 75 or more points in all seven games so far this year.
As for South Florida, they couldn’t hang around with Colorado State in their last game thanks to a rough 36.2 percent shooting—and 61.2 percent allowed on the other side. The Rams also hit a stellar 16-of-22 (72.7 percent) from 3-point range, which dwarfed USF’s 8-of-31 (25.8 percent) effort in the double-digit loss. The Bulls have been below 69 points in two of the last three games, but overall they’re scoring well otherwise. South Florida could hang around here if they shoot well.
