Bowling Green had a tricky matchup in their opener versus Air Force. The Falcons went into half-time up 35-29 and had to hang on for a 62-58 win. Game two was another fairly tight win, this time 87-82 over Oakland.

Bowling Green took their first defeat of the year on Tuesday versus Wright State. The Falcons were outscored 32-27 in the first half and 48-44 in the second for an 80-71 loss. Leon Ayers led the team with his 22 points and six rebounds.

Over on the St. Bonaventure side, they had a good second half versus Saint Francis in their opener this year, eventually powering out a 71-58 win. Matched up against Canisius back on Saturday for game two however, the Bonnies lost 84-80.

Another close loss was in store for the Bonnies on Tuesday versus South Dakota State. St. Bonaventure was up 32-30 going into the second half but ended up losing 66-62. Yann Farell managed to double up in that one with 16 points and 11 boards.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Bowling Green. Probably not touching this one, though. The Falcons need a good bounce-back effort from a flat shooting effort versus Wright State. Bowling Green hit 39.1 percent from the floor in that one with a rough 5-of-24 (20.8 percent) from 3-point range. St. Bonaventure is coming off a pretty flat offensive effort themselves, so if Bowling Green can rebound quickly I think they’ll be fine.
