The Fairleigh Dickinson Knights and the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers meet Thursday in college basketball action from Peter Aquilone Court. Fairleigh Dickinson is currently 8-8 overall. The Knights beat Centenary NJ in their last game. As for St. Francis BK, they’re 6-7 after a loss to Central CT State on Saturday. Fairleigh Dickinson went 4-6 over their first 10 games this year. The Knights beat Mercy, Manhattan, VMI and Saint Joseph’s in that time. Since then it’s been a 4-2 run with losses to only Richmond and Queens NC.

In the Centenary NJ matchup on Saturday, the Knights stormed out to a 61-21 edge by halftime. Fairleigh Dickinson posted a 38-29 run from there and won a blowout 99-50. Ansley Almonor led the way on 19 points and seven boards.

Over on the St. Francis BK side, they were 4-6 after 10 games as well, beating Mt. St. Mary, Saint Peter’s, Delaware State and Hartford. The Terriers are 2-1 since then with wins over Hartford and Medgar Evers.

In Saturday’s matchup versus Central CT State, the Terriers were down 29-23 at halftime. St. Francis BK was outscored 45-29 from there in a 74-52 loss. Tedrick Wilcox posted 12 points with six rebounds to lead the way.

PICK: I’ll probably stay with Fairleigh Dickinson. There’s not a ton to get excited about in this one however; both teams are struggling right now. Fairleigh Dickinson is 5-2 in their last seven outings, scoring 71 or more points in six of those games. As for St. Francis BK, they’re coming off a bad loss to a not-so-good Central CT State team and really need a bounce-back effort. The Terriers haven’t cracked 68 points in five of their last six games though, so I don’t think they’ll keep the cover pace.
