St. Francis PA Red Flash

St. Francis PA opened up the year on a .500 clip with a 10-10 run through 20 games. The Red Flash are just 2-5 since then however, falling to Fairleigh Dickinson, Central CT State, Stonehill and Merrimack (twice).

In the rematch versus Merrimack on Saturday, the Flash trailed 36-31 going into the second half. St. Francis PA was outscored 39-37 from there and lost 75-68. Josh Cohen was the top team scorer on 24 points and nine rebounds.

St. Francis BK Terriers

Over on the St. Francis BK side, they hit a .500 run through 18 games with a 9-9 record. In the eight outings since, the Terriers are 4-4 with wins over Wagner, LIU, Central Connecticut State and Wagner again during that time.

In the Stonehill game on Saturday, the Terriers scored just 15 points in the first half. St. Francis BK was outscored 39-36 from there and lost 62-51. Josiah Harris managed a double-double in the defeat with 15 points and 10 boards.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably stick with St. Francis BK in this one. Also probably staying away, though. The Terriers have been a mixed bag lately, but they’ve won four of the last six outings. The offense hasn’t exactly been spectacular, though; St. Francis BK has 64 points or fewer in four straight games. The last time these teams met up, St. Francis PA pulled off an 87-61 victory at DeGol Arena back on January 20. I like the Terriers to play better in this rematch and power out a cover/win, but you could probably make a case either way.
