The Rider Broncs will look to build on an 87-50 win over subdivision New Jersey last time out. The Stetson Hatters will try to build off of back-to-back wins after a 68-67 win over USF in their last game. Luke Brown leads the Hatters in scoring with 23.5 PPG along with 4 RPG and 3 APG while Stephan Sweson and Alvin Tumblin each have 11.5 PPG with Swenson logging a team-high 5 APG and Cyncier Harrison has 11 PPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Stetson up to this point in the season. As a team, Stetson is averaging 75.5 PPG on 46.4% shooting from the field, 37.1% from three and 75% from the foul line this season.
Rider is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 neutral site games. Stetson is 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 Friday games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games following a win.
I get the reasoning for backing either side here and the wrinkle of playing overseas throws a bit of a wrench into things. However, there’s no denying how good both teams have looked but I give extra brownie points to Stetson, who’s managed to beat USF and Florida State in back-to-back games. Not a game I’m rushing to bet, but I like the free bucket with Stetson.
