The Michigan Wolverines face off against Florida State Seminoles in a NCAA tournament Sweet 16 matchup in college basketball action from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Sunday.

The Florida State Seminoles punched their ticket to the Sweet 16 with a 71-53 beatdown of Colorado last time out. Anthony Polite led the ‘Noles with 22 points on 8 of 12 shooting with 4 threes, 4 assists and a team-high 4 steals while Malik Osborne added 11 points on 4 of 8 shooting with 5 rebounds in 20 minutes off of the bench as the only other double-digit scorer for Florida State in the winning effort. Scottie Barnes also added 6 points with a team-high 5 assists and 3 steals while Raiquan Gray added 9 points with a team-high 6 rebounds as well in the winning effort.

The Michigan Wolverines reached the Sweet 16 after picking up an 86-78 win over LSU in their last game. Chaundee Brown and Eli Brooks shared the team-high with 21 points apiece, with Brown shooting 6 of 9 from the floor with 3 threes in 27 minutes off of the bench while Brooks went 7 of 11 with 5 threes and a team-high 7 assists. Franz Wagner added 15 points on 5 of 9 shooting with 7 rebounds while Hunter Dickinson added 12 points with 11 rebounds and 3 assists to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Michigan in the winning effort. Mike Smith also added 5 points with 6 assists as well in the victory for the Wolverines.

Florida State is 1-3-2 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning record and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 NCAA tournament games. Michigan is 17-7 ATS in their last 24 games overall and 35-15-2 ATS in their last 52 neutral site games while the under is 11-2 in their last 13 games following a win.

I get why this total is where it is, as both teams are capable of scoring well into the 70s. However, with so much at stake for two high-profile programs like this, I’m expecting a war where the first team to 70 wins it if we even get there. I really like the under in this spot as I think the most physical game of the tournament is on the cards in this one.
