Let’s get into our Grand Canyon vs. Tarleton State prediction. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.
Grand Canyon Antelopes
The Antelopes have played a great season so far; their only blemishes have come versus South Carolina and Seattle U. Since their last loss, Grand Canyon has dispatched Stephen F. Austin, TX-Arlington, Seattle, Utah Valley, Southern Utah, Utah Tech and Cal Baptist over the last seven.
In the Cal Baptist matchup on Saturday, the Antelopes came out of the first half with a slim 30-29 edge. The Lopes hit a 49-47 run in the second half and powered out the win 79-76 in the end. Tyon Grant-Foster led the way with his 19 points, six rebounds and two steals.

Tarleton State Texans
Over on the Tarleton State side, they fell to Virginia, Bradley, Jacksonville State, Tennessee, Cal Baptist, Grand Canyon and Southern Utah in the first 19 games. The Texans have beaten Utah Tech, Abilene Christian, Stephen F. Austin, Utah Valley, Seattle and TX-Arlington since their last loss.
Last Thursday matched up against TX-Arlington, the Texans had a close escape. Tarleton State was down 33-28 going into the second half, but fought back on a 52-45 run from there for a victory 80-78. Lue Williams was the team’s lead contributor on 22 points and three assists.
ANDREW’S FREE GRAND CANYON VS TARLETON STATE PREDICTION
I’ll stick with Grand Canyon. You cold probably call this one either way, though. The Antelopes had a close game versus a middling Cal Baptist team in their last outing, hitting 48.1 percent from the field with 35 rebounds and 15 team assists. That makes 73 or more points in five straight games for the Lopes.
These teams last saw each other back on January 13 in a 74-48 blowout victory at home for Grand Canyon. The Antelopes shot a nice 50.9 percent from the field in that one and owned the rebounding 47-28. Tarleton State has been playing pretty well lately however, and I like them to be competitive in the home rematch. Ultimately I like the Antelopes to pull out the cover, but it should be tight.
